Picking a clownfish pair for the 40 breeder

The tank from my build thread is cycled and the cleanup crew is in. Ready for fish. Want a pair of clowns first. Should I buy an already bonded pair or two small ones and let them figure it out? Store has a bonded pair of black ocellaris but its way more than I wanted to spend.

Two small ones works fine if theyre both juveniles and about the same size. The bigger one turns female. Bonded pair is nice if you dont want to wait.

I got two tiny ones and they paired up in a few days. Saved a bunch of money.

Just dont mix species. Ocellaris with ocellaris. Maroons will beat up anything.

Went with two small orange ocellaris. Theyre already sleeping in the same corner every night.
